A striking effect

A nut and bolt, that have been screwed together and a hole drilled through them, are cleanly shown dangling in the center of a blue cord. With a slight squeeze the nut falls from the bolt and cord into the spectators hand. This effect has fooled everyone that has ever seen it. It only seems to play one-on-one. I don't really know why it doesn't play larger, perhaps with a different presentation. However for that one person it's a real killer.

THE EFFECT: A nut, bolt, and chain are shown assembled with the chain through
the hole in the nut and bolt. The assembly is passed out among the spectators
to show that the nut cannot be unscrewed without the chain being removed. The
magician then removes the chain and passes it to the spectators for
inspection. After retrieving the chain he reinserts it through the holes in
the nut and bolt and hands each end to spectators with instructions to hold
the ends loosely. The magician covers the nut and bolt with his hand and
reaching under, unscrews the bolt from the nut. Removing his hand the magician
then spins the nut while the spectators are still holding each end of the chain.

This is a very novel twist on the “Hot Rod” principal. You first show a brass rod with 12 blue spots. Ask the spectator to pick any color? With a mere wave of the hand the blue dots are replaced with six different colors. You then have them pick out a number from one to six...that number is counted on the rod and immediately the six different colors change to the number they have just called out. If that’s not enough you then turn the other side to show the whole rod is now one color...the one they selected. You can go one more step,...you then hand the Hot Rod for total examination!!! Effect: This is a close-up version of the stage version “vanishing coke 2 liter bottle”. A 50 ml bottle, (about the size of those little alcohol drinks you get on the airplane) is placed unto the table along with a small shot glass, magicians opens bottle and pours himself a small shot. Then slips over the bottle a cardboard tube, which is only big enough to cover half the bottle, so magician covers it all up with a cocktail napkin, and says magic words, and when he pulls away the napkin, cardboard tube is still there with bottle sticking out, so

this time magician cups his hands over exposed bottle and cardboard tube and squeezes between his hands, and when he opens his hands, all is left is an empty tube.

Magician hands spectator 4 ‘logs’, each log is almost 2” long, 3/8 inches on each of the long sides, on each side of the logs are a column of 4 numbers, (look at the pic, you will see the numbers on each log are in a column, not a 4 digit number, this is important) so each log can be rolled like a die, and there are 4 different possible sides that will come up. Now remember there are 4 logs, so when magicians back is turned around, spectator can roll the logs, and then arrange them so that there is a math problem of 4- 4diget numbers, and the magician turns around, and instantly announces the sum of all the numbers, but wait, the spectator can re-arrange the four logs, so there is a different total, which the magician can immediately announce, the spectator can even use only 3, or 2 logs if they like,,, this is very amazing, and sooooo simple, requires latterly no math ability, even a 7 year old could do this, there are thousands of different combinations of the ‘log dice’ and it can be done over and over, the more it is done, the stronger and more amazing it becomes. Brand new, very well made, the logs are actually metal, and the numbers are engraved into the metal, so they should last a lifetime.

A borrowed and marked half-dollar represents the comic character Jiggs, a wooden coin slide is used for his home and a nifty two-door box represents a saloon called Dinty Moore's.

Jiggs leaves home and goes to Dinty Moore's... of course his wife Maggie follows but fails to find him. Each time she opens a door to the saloon, she hears someone (the coin) moving from side to side. Finally she opens both doors and Jiggs (the marked coin) has vanished.

She returns home to find him reclining in his favorite chair !(marked coin is now found back in the coin slide).
This is a classic sucker routine with all the elements of comedy and mystery. Made of the finest hardwoods with brass hardware. Each piece is hand rubbed for lasting beauty.
