Bertie? He has vanished, you set Rosie aside,
take out your magic cloth, cover the house, say
the magic words, uncover the house and open the

| Hippety Hop
Barneys M101-1802 NOW $ 385.00 |
|
Hippety Hop Barneys, OH VERY LARGE,
STAGE SIZE, the covers alone are 15.25
inches high, 9.5 inches wide, 1.75 inches
deep. The dinosaur is 15.25 inches tall with
base, and at it's widest point 8 inches.
The dinosaurs
change colors, back and forth between purple
and blue, just like the regular white and
black bunnies of hippety hop rabbits, but
the kicker ending is they change to a boy
and girl.
The shells are made of hard plastic kind of
material, and the dinosaurs are on a nice
hardwood, painting has been done by silk
screening. If this were not Barneys,
and obviously not in trademark infringement,
this would retail easily for $300 plus. You
will not be disappointed in the quality of
this product.
The story
behind this (what I was told): Douglas
Magicland designed these to be made back in
the 80's or
90's, they
commissioned a local craftsman to build
them, high quality. They originally
ordered 12 sets to be made. Either
Barney trademark owners got wind of it, or
Douglas Magicland got nervous and realized
their legal exposure, causing them to cancel
the order.
The craftsman had not completed the full
order, but was stuck with what they had
already built. A friend of mine, got
wind of it and ordered them directly from
the craftsman (Douglas did not want to touch
it). My friend has had them wrapped
carefully and stored under perfect
conditions all these years, and has now dug
them out to sell them.
There were
never instructions made for these, since
they never made their way to Douglas, so I
will include a copy of instructions for
regular Hippety Hop Rabbits.
The flap is of simple design, no magnets.
These are heavy made, they weigh a total of
8 pounds.

Magic
Greenhouse M101-1807 NOW $ 89.00
SOLD |
xAnother
effect from the working repertoire of that great
children's entertainer
Poz complete with his full routine.
An attractive greenhouse is shown, the magician
tells the children that he planted a tree but can't
remember what it is. He shows a picture of a scraggy
tree with no leaves on it. With some seed packets
and help from the children he changes it to an
orange tree.
Unfortunately it is not an orange tree but a tree
that is orange.
With a bit more help from the children and some
magic the tree changes to a lemon tree with lemons
hanging on it.
The magician's helper selects one of the lemons and
finds that it is the only one that contains a prize.
This is an unusual piece of apparatus and lends
itself to development of a routine with a serious
educational ecological message which might prove
useful for those who work in schools.
The greenhouse is brightly screened on to wood and
measures 14 inches by 8 inches.

Lollipop Shop M101-1808 NOW $69.00 |
This
is a knockout effect for children that Terry Burgess
took no time in manufacturing after Len gave him
permission to do so.
A very attractive Magic Lollipop Shop is shown to the
children. The shop front is lifted to show four
lollipops, Lemon, Raspberry, Lime & Orange. The shop
front is then replaced. A paper bag is shown to be
empty and then by magic the lollipops are transferred
one by one invisibly to the bag.
When they arrive the lollipops can be shown visibly to
be there. The doubting children are shown the inside
of the shop again and all of the lollipops are gone.
At this point a helper is asked to choose a lollipop,
no force is used. The chosen flavored lollipop is taken
from the bag. The helper whilst holding the bag
discovers that it is empty ! Where are the other
three lollipops ? Well with the aid of a little magic
they are all shown to be back inside the Magic Lollipop
Shop when the front is removed again.

Matty's Mouse House
SOLD |
|
A brand new effect by Wayne
Mattox.
Although
the old Mouse House was very popular with both
performers and children we felt it was time for a
completely new version. So we asked master
craftsman Wayne Mattox to devise a completely new
Mouse House based on his routine which he has used
for over 30 years.
After months of development ‘Matty’s Mouse House’ is
the fantastic result.
SHAPE
- it will now fit into almost any case or table.
Size is 13 inches by 14 inches
MECHANICS
– The spring loaded levers are sure fire, extremely
easy to operate and certain in operation.
ARTWORK
- updated to suit the new design.
LIGHTWEIGHT
- a great deal of the prop is manufactured in
plastic, but the new mechanism is mounted on high
grade ply wood
ADDITIONAL ITEM
the pantry where you hide your cheese only to find
it invaded by that mischievous mouse.
ROOM
DESIGNS
plenty of detail in the rooms visible through the
house windows all the more to talk about with the
children.
ENDING
for the effect – something we felt was lacking in
the earlier version.
If you have ever experienced the craftsmanship of
Wayne Mattox we need not say any more. If you have
not, ask around, many top illusionists, many big
names in magic and collectors around the world own
items crafted by Wayne, we have spared no expense in
updating the
Mouse House and believe that
this is a professional prop for professional
entertainers. It isn’t cheap but we think it will
last you for many years.
Presentation
- You have purchased a small
house but can’t find it’s resident mouse anywhere.
A search of all the rooms proves negative, however
the children can see the mouse popping up time and
again - even from the chimney!
You show the cheese you were going to give to the
mouse and then put the uneaten cheese in the pantry.
The mouse pops up once more, this time in the
pantry and now you find that he has taken a bit from
the cheese. Naughty mouse!
Lots of fun for performer and audience (adults too).

Prince and the Pumpkin by Supreme Magic
M101-1811 NOW
$150.00 |
Here's a smashing kids' trick - One
which packs flat and small in your bag,
and which looks big and impressive when
set-up in the show.
A very clever principle is used, different to the usual methods
employed during the traditional
Type 'passé-passé', sucker effects.
On display are two colorful Castle
Holders. Holders are in grey, black:,
blue and white. They are varnished for
protection. Holders have a cut out
window right through them. In front of
the holders are two colorful 14" x 10"
cards. One of the cards depicts a wicked
old witch, the other one a Happy Pumpkin
The magician explains how the pumpkin is
really a prince, turned into a pumpkin
by the witch. The witch card is placed
into the castle, and to stop her from
getting out a clip is placed over the
top.
Similarly, pumpkin is placed into the other castle and a clip is
placed over. Telling of tales of the strange
happenings which occur after dark, the magician
partially covers one of the castles with a cloth, so
that the window is obscured
When he replaces the castle on the table, the children see him
craftily turning this around
Magician takes the remaining castle with the witch looking through
the window, and passes this swiftly around his back.
Immediately it is seen that the witch has gone, and there looking
through the window is the Pumpkin. When the castle
on the table is uncovered there is the witch!
The effect is repeated, the witch and
the pumpkin 'repeatedly changing places.
The children
lose no time in telling you that the
pictures are really double-sided. -
There's a pumpkin on the back of the
witch and vice
versa;
Now the cards are removed completely
from their respective castles (which are
seen to be empty, apart from these giant
cards). Magician appears to
misunderstand the children's request to
turn the pictures around. He turns them
upside-down and then back: again.
Finally, he does turn the cards over. On
the back of the witch card is an ugly
frog, on the back of the pumpkin, a
handsome young prince.
Now
what really makes this unusual and a
fooler, is the castles have a hole in
place of the window, so when you pull
the entire cards out of the castle, they
are seeing completely thru the castle,
and out the other side. And the magician
is left with two thin placards depicting
the changed items, takes Hippitty
Hop Rabbits leaps and bounds ahead, and
what's more, the props are far more
colorful, done in the excellent silk
screening that was the signature of
Supreme Props. AND it packs flat and
plays BIG!!!
I
have more than one set of these in my
personal collection,, some had a turn
style leg on the bottom of the castles,
so they could stand upright by
themselves, these do not, and in the
instructions with these they refer to
using the metal stands to support them
on, well these did not have any stands
with them either, so I am including a
set, that are obviously not the original
stands. It should be noted that this
set was probably the improved version
over the set with their own feet, since
the feet were the weakest part of the
entire apparatus, they were forever
falling off, or did not do a very good
job of holding the castles upright, but
using the collapsible stands that is not
an issue.
Prop
is in Very good condition, especially
when you consider their age, And
includes original Supreme instructions
detailing routine, however the original
instructions pages are numbered 1-5,
only page 1 is missing, which is just
the description of the effect, page 2
starts out discussing the working of the
trick, and the detailed routine, however
I will include a copy of the first page
from one of my other sets, so you are
complete.
Also
the original included a 24" cloth to
cover the first castle with, I will let
you supply your own, since you may have
your own preference of colors etc. The
original also included two colored
clothes pins, which are no longer here,
so I will include 2 standard clothes
pins.

Run Cookie Monster Run
M101-1816
SOLD
NOW $250.00 |
|
Notoriously, released by Hank
Lee in the late 70's and early 80's. After it's
release, Hank ran into the mighty legal arm of
owners of the "Cookie Monster" rights, and the item
was very quickly pulled from the market. It
was a great children's effect, it used a character
that the kids could relate to, that they knew.
Hank Lee was not to be totally done-in,,, he
modified the trick, redid some of the graphics, and
called it "Run Bakery Bear Run", which you are more
familiar with.
What also made this
unusual, was this was leaps ahead of it's time in
creating a colorful and cartoon appearing prop, it
has taken nearly 30 years for someone else to come
along and apply these principles to children's
magic. Of course I am referring to Chance
Wolf. The quality of this prop, is not as good
as what Chance does with his Wacky Wolf, but it is
still better than any other Run Rabbit Run product
on the market.
If you want to put something
into your show, with a character that children will
recognize or relate to, you will enjoy this one. The
operation is very smooth, it includes 2 free
standing "cookie monster" characters, so you can
recover/produce it later somewhere else (hanging on
children's back).
If you
want to just add this item to your collection, with
it's notoriety, it will look great on the shelf.
classic run rabbit
run effect, light weight made with PVC plastic, yet
large vibrant colors, no longer manufactured by Hank
Lee, Cookie Monster can be seen running back and forth and
peeking out from behind door, comes with an 2 extra
cookie monsters so you can reproduce in a completely
remote spot, instructions included. Unit
measures 22 inches wide and 10 1/2 inches tall, yet
weighs less than 4 pounds!!
in the picture, the flash has
washed out the face of the cookie monster that runs
back and forth, he is perfect looking, it is just
the flash.
Condition:
it is in very good condition, it is complete,
with the two extra cookie monsters, one for
showing and disappearing into the unit, and the
second one for re-production from some separate
place. the door knobs (little plastic ball)
have fallen off, they were just glued on
originally. They are lost. Most people I have
seen, they drill small holes into the door where
the knobs are supposed to be, and attach some
kind of knob with a nut and bolt, much better to
do it that way then re-glue something on. where
the knobs were there is now absence of paint, so
whatever you choose to put there, it will
obviously cover it.
one of the rear
doors was held closed by a small piece of velcro,
it has come off, still have the velcro piece if
you want to re-glue it back on, but it really is
not necessary, the door stays closed by itself.
The swivel out cookie monster also had a piece
of plastic glued to the back, to help use as a
kick point to push it out and pull it back in.
it has also fallen off and lost, it is not
really necessary, just made it easier to do the
mechanics part, but you can easily glue
something on the back again.
the face of the prop is in near mint condition,
you have to look close to find the few nicks.
the sliding mechanism works perfectly.
there is no case for it, there never was one
supplied.

| Time-X or Monkey Bar
M171-1736 NOW
$ 12.00 SOLD |
|
Unknown mfr
Monkey Bar is an Effect originated by Jack Hughes, this one comes with
instructions that calls it Time-X, so I do not know who made this one. Even
though the effect in eyes of audience is same as “acrobatic silks”, it is not
same method, there is no reset time with this one as opposed to “acrobatic
silks”, well made
Effect:
The performer begins by displaying a block of solid wood with three pieces of
rope attached. A a borrowed watch is tied to the end of one of the ropes,
clearly seen knotted tightly around the rope.
The performer then explains that watch, hanging on the left outermost rope, will
magically jump to the right outermost rope. Passing the block behind his back
for a second, he then shows the block again, and the watch is seen to
have "jumped" to the right rope! The audience groans.
The performer explains that the watch will now jump back to the left rope.
Again, passing the block behind his back, it re-emerges displaying the watch on
the left rope. "I'll keep doing this until you LIKE it!" the performer says
jokingly.
"OK, OK... How about if I make the watch jump to the middle rope. Would THAT be
a good trick? WOULD THAT BE A GOOD TRICK?" The audience yells out in
anticipation and approval! The performer places the block of wood behind his
back for a split-second, and displaying it one last time, the watch is seen
hanging from the middle rope! “See time does fly!”
Perfect for MCs, comedy magicians, children's magicians, or just a fun interlude
for any magician.

the door you just closed to show that the tiger has
gone.
You are soon told to open the other door. You tilt
the prop back and open it, This happens until the
children are about to attack you. You then show both
sides to be empty.
He is always playing tricks on you. He has gone back
to his tiger cave.
After some audience involvement you open the cave to
show he is there.
You tell the children that Timmy has said if you
place him back in his cage he will disappear. You
do so and there is another sequence of him appearing
and disappearing from the cage. Eventually he really
does vanish and reappear in the cave which has
previously been shown empty.
This is an excellent routine and prop for the
working performer.

| Wozzle the Wizard by Ron Gilbert
M101-1825 NOW $149.00 |
Here is a great effect made in 1991, especially devised for the children's
entertainer. It has color, comedy, mystery, intrigue and participation...
all the successful ingredients for the popular children's show. Above all
the routine and props are quite suitable for a wide range of ages from the
preschooler to 7 years old.
The neat props you receive are a nicely made and painted wooden castle, a
"how to do Magic" booklet, plus five color printed sets of articles / object
which change color.
Basically the storyline is simple with all the successful children's
effects, the beauty of this is the action! Wozzle the Wizard has 3 brothers
who try to copy their brother because they are jealous of his abilities to
do magic ... they read his magic book of magic tricks but everything goes
wrong of course.. so it is up to Wozzle the Wizard and the children to put
everything right!!

| Zoo---Loo by Bob
Kline, this was built by him! M101-1827 $90.00 |
An
original Children's effect from the man that brought
you Copenetro. A wood cage standing 12 3/4 inches
high is shown along with a large blank card that is
shown on both sides. A card is selected from a pack
that has many different animals. The cage is turned
around with the back toward the audience and the
selected card is revealed and the cage is turned
around to show the same animal within! The deck of
animal cards is absent so you may either make a trip
to the local toy store for one or take a deck of
blank cards and get busy writing the names of many
different animals as it is only necessary to perform
a simple force regardless. The two choices you have
in case of back to back performance is a bear or a
parrot.
