| Hippety Hop
Barneys M101-1802 NOW $ 385.00 |
|
Hippety Hop Barneys, OH VERY LARGE,
STAGE SIZE, the covers alone are 15.25
inches high, 9.5 inches wide, 1.75 inches
deep. The dinosaur is 15.25 inches tall with
base, and at it's widest point 8 inches.
The dinosaurs
change colors, back and forth between purple
and blue, just like the regular white and
black bunnies of hippety hop rabbits, but
the kicker ending is they change to a boy
and girl.
The shells are made of hard plastic kind of
material, and the dinosaurs are on a nice
hardwood, painting has been done by silk
screening. If this were not Barneys,
and obviously not in trademark infringement,
this would retail easily for $300 plus. You
will not be disappointed in the quality of
this product.
The story
behind this (what I was told): Douglas
Magicland designed these to be made back in
the 80's or
90's, they
commissioned a local craftsman to build
them, high quality. They originally
ordered 12 sets to be made. Either
Barney trademark owners got wind of it, or
Douglas Magicland got nervous and realized
their legal exposure, causing them to cancel
the order.
The craftsman had not completed the full
order, but was stuck with what they had
already built. A friend of mine, got
wind of it and ordered them directly from
the craftsman (Douglas did not want to touch
it). My friend has had them wrapped
carefully and stored under perfect
conditions all these years, and has now dug
them out to sell them.
There were
never instructions made for these, since
they never made their way to Douglas, so I
will include a copy of instructions for
regular Hippety Hop Rabbits.
The flap is of simple design, no magnets.
These are heavy made, they weigh a total of
8 pounds.

Jack and Jill M251-1956, NOW $150.00 |
Manufactured by Jack Hughes
VERY RARE!
Effect; Magician asks the kids "Do you Know the
story of Jack & Jill?" of course they do! the
magician continues "Jack was a little girl, and Jill
was a little boy", of course the kids, point out you
are wrong, after some by play, you acknowledge that
you get confused.
As magician continues story "they went up the hill to fetch a glass of
water", magician displays plaque with a hill and a
well, and of course kids correct you, they went to
get a pail of water.
As Magician continues story, the well plaque opens
up to reveal Jack and Jill. Magician continues story
of how Jack fell down and broke his head, kids
correct you, magician removes Jack's Head, and
continues story, of How Jill laughed at him so hard
she fell down too, and broke her crown too. Magician
removes Her head also.
Magician says, that's a problem, and he tries to put their heads back on,
but he puts them on backwards, then kids correct
him, he takes them off, and puts the heads on the
wrong bodies, "See, I told you Jack was a little
girl & Jill was a little boy!"
After the usual by play magician removes the heads, and states the kids
need to go to the "Head Hospital" So he folds Jack
and Jill back up, and shows the well, and displays
the "Head Hospital", opens the door on the hospital,
puts the heads in there, and closes the door. Say
the Magic Words, reopens the hospital door, and the
heads have vanished, picks up the well, unfolds it
to show the heads have returned!
What is great about this trick, uses a story the
children are familiar with, and does the fun effect
of a forgetful Freddie without the popping of a
balloon, which as we all know does upset some
children from time to time!
Condition - very good, especially considering the
age, still very workable.

Long John Wand M242-1912, NOW $25.00 |
Manufactured by Abbotts
A comedy sensation! Long off the market and
unavailable - now Abbott's
Long John Wand returns in a new and improved
version. The performer
introduces an oversized magician's wand - fifteen
inches in length and one
inch in diameter. It is made from black plastic
tubing and has two white
molded wand tips. A big magic wand for a big magic
miracle. With two
audience assistants, the performer instructs each to
grip one of the white
tip ends. Positioning the volunteers, he moves one
backwards a step or
two and them the same with the other assistant.
Amazingly, the wand
stretches, first to the left and then to the right!
But no ordinary stretching!
The white wand tips are attached to a twisty,
squiggling plastic cord! The
Long John Wand extends to over six feet in length.
When the magician
reclaims the wand, he is left with a solid plastic
piece in the middle and two
ends which dangle and bobble at each end.
Nevertheless, when the wand
is waved (and wiggled) over the magic effect in
progress, the magic still
works! A versatile comedy accessory which can be
used with dozens of
standard magic effects: rope tricks, card tricks,
etc. Strong durable and
flashy - and built for laughs!

Magic
Lollipop Shop M991-1808 NOW $69.00 |
This
is a knockout effect for children that Terry Burgess
took no time in manufacturing after Len gave him
permission to do so.
A very attractive Magic Lollipop Shop is shown to the
children. The shop front is lifted to show four
lollipops, Lemon, Raspberry, Lime & Orange. The shop
front is then replaced. A paper bag is shown to be
empty and then by magic the lollipops are transferred
one by one invisibly to the bag.
When they arrive the lollipops can be shown visibly to
be there. The doubting children are shown the inside
of the shop again and all of the lollipops are gone.
At this point a helper is asked to choose a lollipop,
no force is used. The chosen flavored lollipop is taken
from the bag. The helper whilst holding the bag
discovers that it is empty ! Where are the other
three lollipops ? Well with the aid of a little magic
they are all shown to be back inside the Magic Lollipop
Shop when the front is removed again.

*Mr. Up and Mr. Down M172-1963, NOW $39.00 |
Manufactured by Edwin's Magical Arts
SCARCE!
I found several of these from a closed magic shop
inventory, NO longer made and very hard to find, so they are as new as can be and are still in
their original box (not that the box
was anything special)
By Edwin Hooper and John Kimmons
Fun! Colour! Surprise! Spectacle! Mystery!
Children of all ages will thrill to the amazing
antics of the two whackiest clowns in existence!
Mr. Up and Mr. Down are sparklingly dressed in
fluorescent orange, yellow, fuchsia, white and blue.
A tremendous flash of colour!
The clowns are acrobats and whatever one does the
other tries to emulate!
Allez-oop! In the twinkling of an eye, Mr. Up slips
over and is now standing on his head!
Whatever Mr. Up can do Mr. Down can do better and
soon both clowns are upside-down!
It's amazing, amusing and highly confusing.
There is some hilarious 'cod' business when Mr. Up
tries his hand at magic and turns himself invisible
(?)
The children are not impressed but laughs become
gasps of astonishment when Mr. Down repeats the feat
and vanishes without trace. Where can he be?
You appear not to notice, but your young audience
will lose no time in telling you! There he is -
popping up and down whilst you are not looking!
A riot of fun and laughter!
There is a super, double-barreled, laughter-packed
climax, when Mr. Up DISAPPEARS and is discovered in
a most unexpected fashion.
OH, WHAT A WINNER!
A vast variation and improvement on an older
original, with new characters, larger props and
extra surprises.
The colours are glorious; fluorescent orange,
yellow, magenta, white and blue, all against a black
background. All surfaces matte plastic laminated.
Apart from their costumes, the clowns appear
identical. Mr. Up wears a pink ruff and orange
spotted trousers, whilst Mr. Down's costume is
predominantly blue.
We are sure that you will agree this is one of the
greatest kids' tricks using a single plaque ever
conceived!
The effect is completely self-contained and can be
re-set in seconds.

|
Prince and the Pumpkin by Supreme Magic
M101-1811 NOW
$150.00 |
Here's a smashing kids' trick - One
which packs flat and small in your bag,
and which looks big and impressive when
set-up in the show.
A very clever principle is used, different to the usual methods
employed during the traditional
Type 'passé-passé', sucker effects.
On display are two colorful Castle
Holders. Holders are in grey, black:,
blue and white. They are varnished for
protection. Holders have a cut out
window right through them. In front of
the holders are two colorful 14" x 10"
cards. One of the cards depicts a wicked
old witch, the other one a Happy Pumpkin
The magician explains how the pumpkin is
really a prince, turned into a pumpkin
by the witch. The witch card is placed
into the castle, and to stop her from
getting out a clip is placed over the
top.
Similarly, pumpkin is placed into the other castle and a clip is
placed over. Telling of tales of the strange
happenings which occur after dark, the magician
partially covers one of the castles with a cloth, so
that the window is obscured
When he replaces the castle on the table, the children see him
craftily turning this around
Magician takes the remaining castle with the witch looking through
the window, and passes this swiftly around his back.
Immediately it is seen that the witch has gone, and there looking
through the window is the Pumpkin. When the castle
on the table is uncovered there is the witch!
The effect is repeated, the witch and
the pumpkin 'repeatedly changing places.
The children
lose no time in telling you that the
pictures are really double-sided. -
There's a pumpkin on the back of the
witch and vice
versa;
Now the cards are removed completely
from their respective castles (which are
seen to be empty, apart from these giant
cards). Magician appears to
misunderstand the children's request to
turn the pictures around. He turns them
upside-down and then back: again.
Finally, he does turn the cards over. On
the back of the witch card is an ugly
frog, on the back of the pumpkin, a
handsome young prince.
Now
what really makes this unusual and a
fooler, is the castles have a hole in
place of the window, so when you pull
the entire cards out of the castle, they
are seeing completely thru the castle,
and out the other side. And the magician
is left with two thin placards depicting
the changed items, takes Hippitty
Hop Rabbits leaps and bounds ahead, and
what's more, the props are far more
colorful, done in the excellent silk
screening that was the signature of
Supreme Props. AND it packs flat and
plays BIG!!!
I
have more than one set of these in my
personal collection,, some had a turn
style leg on the bottom of the castles,
so they could stand upright by
themselves, these do not, and in the
instructions with these they refer to
using the metal stands to support them
on, well these did not have any stands
with them either, so I am including a
set, that are obviously not the original
stands. It should be noted that this
set was probably the improved version
over the set with their own feet, since
the feet were the weakest part of the
entire apparatus, they were forever
falling off, or did not do a very good
job of holding the castles upright, but
using the collapsible stands that is not
an issue.
Prop
is in Very good condition, especially
when you consider their age, And
includes original Supreme instructions
detailing routine, however the original
instructions pages are numbered 1-5,
only page 1 is missing, which is just
the description of the effect, page 2
starts out discussing the working of the
trick, and the detailed routine, however
I will include a copy of the first page
from one of my other sets, so you are
complete.
Also
the original included a 24" cloth to
cover the first castle with, I will let
you supply your own, since you may have
your own preference of colors etc. The
original also included two colored
clothes pins, which are no longer here,
so I will include 2 standard clothes
pins.

|
mfrd by Hank Lee in
the 1970’s &1980’s
Effect: Show a
large plastic silk screened picture of a traffic
light (the artwork is so nice, the kids love it
right from the start).
Printed in the circles where the lights
should be are the words GO, SLOW and STOP.
But there are no colors! You wipe the front
of the drawing with your star covered magic cloth.
Now the colors are there, but the words are
all in the wrong places, it says GO in the red
light, STOP in the yellow light, and SLOW in the
green light!
One more wipe!
Well, the words are gone, but now there are
stars all over the traffic light!
Have the kids shout the magic words and – now
the lights are finally covered in –
Red,
Yellow
and
Green.
But, the
colors are upside down!
Hang a broken sign on the picture and have
the kids shout a different magic word.
Take away the sign and – STRIPES! Red, yellow
and green STRIPES!
Quickly put the sign back!
Have the kids shout “Safety First” – Now when
you remove the sign, the colors are finally in the
correct order, and all is well with the world.
As a final kicker, the “Broken” sign changes
into a cute drawing of a policeman saying “Remember,
Safety First!”
STOPPIT comes to
you complete with the large 12x19 inches, 8 color
silk screened plastic picture of the traffic light,
the “BROKEN” sign, the “Safety FIRST” sign, the

Weight Of The World, Steve Steiner's M251-1974, NOW $80.00 |
Manufactured by Magic Supply
Can you balance the weight of the world on one
finger?
Now you can!
The Magician's ultimate strength and balance routine-
Right at your finger tips!
Trick Description and Effect:
Magician calls for a member of the audience to
assist him with his next trick. He
hands the assistant a wooden hook item that
resembles a musical note and asks
him to try to make the hook balance on the end of
his finger. After several failed
attempts the magician next hands the assistant a
leather belt to which he proceeds
to attach three different name plaques thereby
causing the belt to become quite
heavy. The magician next attaches the weighted belt
with the name plaques to the
wooden hook using a paper binder clip. After
securing the belt to the wooden hook
the magician asks the assistant to hold out his
finger and once again attempt to
balance it, only now the wooden hook has the added
weight of the belt and name
plaques. The magician places the hook & belt on the
end of the assistant’s finger
and let’s goes. The hook & belt remains suspended
and balanced on the assistant’s
finger. Magician waves his hands above and below the
trick to show that there are
no wires or threads involved and asks the assistant
to turn from side to side to show
all angles.
Comes complete with Three Routines for:
*Schools Shows
*Corporate Shows
*Gospel Shows
*Customize Your Own Messages
Includes:
*Three colored signs
*Wooden "music note" Gimmick
*Leather Belt
*VCD of the performance
*Easy to follow instructions
This trick is truly startling and I always hear the
audience gasp when I perform it. It is
entirely self-contained, self-working, and can be
instantly reset. It is suitable for
stage, parlor or close up and can be worked right
out of the box even while
surrounded. The nameplates come with clear Plexiglas
fronts that allow you to
change the inserts for your own specific routine and
patter. With the use of your
home computer and printer you can create a wide
variety of different inserts to make
this trick work for just about every type of
audience including; schools, churches,
sport groups, banquets, businesses, youth groups,
adults, and senior citizen shows.
The trick comes with inserts and patter to perform a
'gospel' and 'successful
business organization' routine.

| Wozzle the Wizard by Ron Gilbert
M101-1825 NOW $149.00 |
Here is a great effect made in 1991, especially devised for the children's
entertainer. It has color, comedy, mystery, intrigue and participation...
all the successful ingredients for the popular children's show. Above all
the routine and props are quite suitable for a wide range of ages from the
preschooler to 7 years old.
The neat props you receive are a nicely made and painted wooden castle, a
"how to do Magic" booklet, plus five color printed sets of articles / object
which change color.
Basically the storyline is simple with all the successful children's
effects, the beauty of this is the action! Wozzle the Wizard has 3 brothers
who try to copy their brother because they are jealous of his abilities to
do magic ... they read his magic book of magic tricks but everything goes
wrong of course.. so it is up to Wozzle the Wizard and the children to put
everything right!!
